FAQ's

  • We provide services Monday to Friday between 7am to 8pm, and during weekends between 7am to 5pm. We are also available outside of our normal hours on request.

  • Non-urgent refers to patients who are in a stable condition and are considered low risk of requiring emergency measures during transport.

  • We recommend that you contact our dispatch team either by calling or through our online booking tool as soon as you know that you require patient transfer services and have a date and time confirmed. We can accommodate last minute requests and will always endeavour to meet your needs. The more advanced notice provided will better enable us to put into place the most efficient and effective plan to ensure your needs are met.

  • You can call our dispatch office toll free at 1-844-843-5523, or submit a request online at www.alliancecares.ca/bookings

  • We accept all major credit cards or e-transfer in advance, and can accept cheques or cash at time of patient pickup. We are also able to direct bill to select health insurance companies and work closely with several community support funding programs. Give us a call and we can help find the best solution for you!

  • We can support direct payments from selected health insurance companies or government programs. Please contact us to discuss your situation and the options available. We are an approved provider for companies such as Medavie Blue Cross and government agencies such as Veterans Affairs Canada. 

  • Absolutely! We encourage family or friends to accompany a patient when able as it helps contribute to their overall comfort and care.

  • Your health and safety and that of our staff is our highest priority. Providing information such as a patient’s weight helps us to ensure that we have the right equipment and crew on hand at the time of pickup and during the transfer to meet the patient’s needs and help avoid delays.
